Linda M. Sims

Linda Michelle Sims, age 66, of Weatherford, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 14, 2014.  Linda was born in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Woodrow and Marion Hall. On January 18, 1964, Linda married the love of her life, John M. Sims, Sr. in Austin, Texas. Linda loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she loved traveling; getting to see China, Mexico and many European countries in her lifetime. She also loved to work in the flower beds and surf the Web. She was an avid researcher weather reading, surfing the web or locating ancestors on ancestry.com. Her love of her dogs, Libby and Maggie, was a pleasure to watch. Linda retired as a management analyst in office design for the Internal Revenue Service.
Mrs. Sims is survived by her husband, John; sons, John Sims Jr. his wife, Trina of Arlington, Alan Sims and Stephanie Saxelby of Houston; daughter, Jackie Wooten her husband Randall of Weatherford; five grandchildren with one on the way, Lauren Sims Reames her husband Ryan, John Sims III, Jordan and Jarrod Wooten, Elizabeth Saxelby and one great granddaughter, Brylee Reames. Linda is also survived by her sister, Marion Florio and husband Vito of Hutto, TX and brother, Woodrow (Woody) Hall of Austin.


Funeral service: 3:00 pm Sunday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.  Visitation will be from 1pm to 3pm before the service.
