Linda Diane Peveler

  Linda Diane Peveler, age 72, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

  Linda was born on January 25, 1952, in Weatherford, Texas, to Douglas Gipson and Loretta Griffin Jenkins. She graduated from Weatherford High School in 1970. Linda’s life was deeply intertwined with her beloved husband, Larry Peveler, whom she married on December 5, 1980. They had known each other since 1967, growing up together and later attending high school side by side.

  For 25 years, Linda worked as a cook at Hall Middle School, where her kind nature and warm meals left a lasting impression on both students and staff.

  Known for her sweet and caring nature, Linda had a warmth that touched everyone around her. Though she had a stubborn streak, a cold Dr. Pepper could always bring a smile to her face. Linda cherished quiet moments crocheting and watching her family work on puzzles, enjoying the simple pleasures of life.

  Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, William Allen Jenkins; her granddaughter, Harper Payberah; and her beloved dog, Bugsy.

  She is survived by her devoted husband, Larry Peveler, of Weatherford, Texas; her sons, Paul Payberah and wife, Sarah, and Jesse Peveler and girlfriend, Niccole Satterlee; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Cade Payberah, John Gonzales, Hannah Gonzales, Layla Peveler, and Mason Peveler.

  A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor and celebrate Linda’s life.
