Linda Rae Harrison passed away Friday, June 13, 2014, in Weatherford Texas, surrounded by her loving family.
Born February 24, 1947, in South Sioux City, Nebraska, to Oscar and Dana Strong; Linda was the baby of the family. Her father’s work brought Linda and family to Fort Stockton, Texas, and it was there she grew up.
Linda was an educator in the Brock ISD school system for over 20 years. After retiring, she continued to volunteer as a bus driver, sub teacher, chaperone for field trips; all for the kids. They called her “Miss Linda.” Linda was a proud member of Palo Pinto County Cowboy Church. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, grandmother and friend.
Linda leaves behind her sons, Jeff Sullivan and wife, Erika Swyryn, and Andy Harrison and wife Richelle; daughter, Donna Bowens; grandchildren, Angel Bowens, Toni Bowens, Danielle Harrison, Allie Harrison, and Andrew Harrison; eight great grandchildren; mother, Dana Strong; and brothers, Wayne Strong and Melvin Strong.
A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday June 17, 2014, at Palo Pinto County Cowboy Church, 2731 S. FM 129, Santo Texas 76472.
