Lisa Renee Griffin

Lisa Hendry Griffin, age 63, of Weatherford, passed away Tuesday afternoon at Medical City Plano. She was born November 10, 1956 in Mineral Wells, Texas, to Dorsett and Joan Hendry. Lisa moved with her family as a child to Bay Springs, Mississippi where she spent the next 50 yrs. She moved back to Texas in 2005. Lisa was a nurse for over 35 years and loved to serve those who were sick or in need. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church in Weatherford, Texas.

Lisa is survived by her daughter, Ashley Williams (Jeff) of Peaster, Texas; son, Tyler Yelverton (Dana) of Poolville, Texas; grandchildren, Hannah Williams, Gabby Williams, Hayden Yelverton, Avery Yelverton, Callen Yelverton; and great grandchild, Xander Williams-Barham; siblings, Keith Hendry (Rose) of Bay Springs, Mississippi, Franna McMinn (Jim) of Bay Springs, Mississippi, and Donnett Weeks (Kyle) of Eupora, Mississippi. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorsett Hendry and Joan Welborn.

Visitation will be Friday, August 28, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard. Funeral service will be held at Greenwood Baptist Church on Saturday, August 29, at 11:00 a.m., with graveside immediately following at Greenwood Community Cemetery.
