Lola Lee Hicks

Lola Lee Hicks, 91, of Weatherford, passed away early on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at her home.
Lola was born on September 16, 1927 in Weatherford to Travis and Eva Farrar. She married Johnny R. Hicks on September 18, 1942. Together they had three children.
In her younger years, Lola enjoyed working in her yard. In the summers she would often be found sitting on her front porch with her family around her. She loved wildlife and could always be counted on to feed the hummingbirds every year. Most of all, Lola will be remembered for being a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
Lola is survived by her son, Ricky L. Hicks and wife Susan; sister, Zula Stover; grandchildren, Jennifer, Chris, Patricia, Heather, Doug, and Diana; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lola was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Johnny R. Hicks; her children Peggy J. Hull and Johnny A. Hicks; her grandson Jack Hawley, Jr.; great-grandson Parker Hull; and by four of her siblings.
Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 2 until 5, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. A graveside committal service will be held at 2 P.M., on Monday, January 21, at the Greenwood Community Cemetery west of Weatherford.
