Lola Mae Holt White

Born on June 1, 1923 in Petersburg, Texas, Lola Mae Holt White went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2022. Lola was the loving Mother of 5 children and Memaw to 18 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was the strong matriarch of a large family and lovingly setting the example on how to live a good Christian life. Lola loved serving the church and has been an active member of the Windmill Church of Christ since its founding in 1985.

Lola was a woman of many talents and among the most known was cooking and sewing. She cherished time spent with family making candy, cakes and holiday treats. During most holidays she was busy crafting treasures for the children as well as making her famous cream and fried pies for all to enjoy. She was an expert at the arts of sewing, crocheting and quilting. Throughout the years she made many comforting quilts and blankets for family and friends. Lola was also very fond of fishing. She spent many hours on the river bank or sitting in a boat with family. She enjoyed watching her bobber while anxiously waiting to reel up the next fish.

Lola was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Dulon Edward White, son, Leslie Luther White, grandson, Paul David White, daughter-in-law Vicki White and two sons-in-law, Billy Brown and Danny Rumsey. She is survived by two sons, Richard White and Kenneth White, his wife, Susan, and their two daughters, Frances Bisby and her husband, James and Cynthia Rumsey.
