Lorene Elsie Burleson

Elsie Lorene Burleson, 74, of Millsap, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 16, 2015. Mrs. Burleson was born December 17, 1940 in Garner, Texas.  She was one of four children born to L.B. and Pearl Youngblood.  Lorene married Carl Loyd Burleson and together shared four children, Ian, Sue Ann,  Carla and Cathy.  Lorene enjoyed traveling, reading, and her pets.  Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family. Her childhood and lifelong dream was to be a good homemaker.
Lorene is survived by her children, Ian and his fiancé Carmen of Graham, Sue Ann and her husband Doug of Blue Ridge, and Carla Marie and her husband Joe of Brownwood; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Gayle Hooten and her husband Mike Hooten of Millsap; and by her brother Alvin( Tom) Youngblood and his wife Velma of Weatherford. Several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her nephew Patrick Adams and wife Dawn.
Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Loyd Burleson and her parents LB and Pearl Youngblood, her sister Ina Lucille, daughter Cathy and nephew Bobby Lee Youngblood.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 20, 2015, at Gospel Light Baptist Church, Mineral Wells, TX, with Pastor Caleb Shipman officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery Millsap.  Visitation will be held Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 6 until 8 P.M.  at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
