Louis Arlon Carter passed away at age 68 on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Texas Health Harris Methodist in Fort Worth, TX.
Louis was born on October 16, 1953, in Weatherford, TX to Leslie Arlon Carter and Nelly Jane Thompson Carter. A true and faithful servant, Louis lived life as an inspiration to so many. Though we mourn the loss of his physical presence on this side of heaven, he left behind the ultimate legacy of love. He was a compassionate man with a steadfast faith that impacted all who were blessed to have him in their lives. Louis was a member and deacon of Harmony Baptist Church for the past 22 years. Louis also served in the United States Air Force for 10 years before he started his career in the trucking business.
Louis is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marcy Carter; children, Shawn (Crystal) Carter, Carrie Carter, and Jennifer (Terry) Cohron; siblings Gail (Floyd) Hull, Dianna Armstrong and Allen (Laura) Carter; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and numerous extended families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Nelly Carter, Baby Carter and great grandson Bentley Cohron.
Pallbearers: Cody Fulbright, Blake Cohron, Trevor Cohron, Kevin Hull, John Thomas, Kris Armstrong, Jonathan Jennings and Colton Burns.
Visitation 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Ceremony 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 25, 2022, at Harmony Baptist Church.
