Louis Fontenot, Jr.

Louis Fontenot, Jr., 78, of Weatherford passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020. He was born July 6, 1941, in Louisiana, to Louis, Sr. and Cecilia Ryder Fontenot. Louis was a retired truck driver that enjoyed stock car racing, traveling and fishing. He loved bowling with his team the Special Roos, especially his bowling partner, Douglas. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Fontenot, and two sisters. 

Louis is survived by his fiancée and the love of his life, Shelia Barksdale; chosen children, Douglas Barksdale, Weida Nelson and husband, James, Michael Lucas and wife, Kristan, all of Weatherford, and Courtney Whitman and husband, Rodie of South Dakota; sister, Lena Addison and husband, Jimmy of Louisiana; grandchildren, Kash, Hudson, Sage, Allie, Hagen, Koda, and Destany; one great grandson, Bexton; along with many nieces, nephews and an adopted daughter.

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, 4941 I-20 Frontage Road, Willow Park, Texas 76087. Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 12, 2020, also in the Galbreaith Pickard Hilltop Chapel, with interment to follow in Spring Creek Cemetery.
