Love Latrelle Gartman

Love Latrelle Gartman passed away at home Friday August 8, 2014.  Born June 17, 1932 in Mineral Wells to Ivory and Lizzie Garrett; Love was one of seven children.  Love met and married Ralph “Dean” Gartman, together they raised five children.  Love enjoyed cooking, and hosting swim parties for the family and neighbors.  She worked in the Home Health industry as a caregiver.  Family was very important to Love, she loved her children and grandchildren but wasn’t above using a flip flop as her weapon of choice.
Love leaves behind her children Pat Montgomery and husband Ronnie of Weatherford, Joe Ralph Gartman of Mineral Wells, Jerry Wayne Gartman of Mineral Wells, Carol Fisher and husband Mike of Weatherford, and Billy Don Gartman of Mineral Wells; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; sisters Doris Harden of Mineral Wells and Wanda Savage of Mineral Wells; and brother Buddy Garrett and wife Virginia of Mineral Wells.  She was preceded in death by her beloved Dean Gartman, sisters Sue Irene Snow Martin, Lucille Moore; brother Raymond Garrett and her parents, Ivory and Lizzie Garrett.


A funeral service will be Wednesday August 13, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Weatherford.  A visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday August 12, 2014 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, please give to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org/donate .
