  Loyd Dale Hamilton, age 87, of Weatherford, died Thursday morning, July 31, 2014, in a local nursing facility. Born October 8, 1926, a resident of Weatherford most of his life, he was retired as owner of L & E Enterprises, former salesman for Hamilton Tires, a member of the Disciples of Christ Church, Masonic Lodge, Moslah Shrine, active in the DeMolay Program, and he was an U. S. Army Veteran. Loyd loved children and helped many people get accepted to the Shriners Hospital.  

  He was preceded in death by his wife, Evalyn Hamilton; father, Charles Hamilton; mother, Ether Hamilton; step-mother, Florene Hamilton; sister, Pauline Hamilton; and brothers, Gifford Hamilton, Elwood Hamilton, and Marshall Hamilton.

Brothers – Billy Hamilton of Pottsboro
                 Gary Hamilton and wife Sherry of Bedford
Sisters-in-law – Grace Hamilton Johnson of Abilene
                          Jo Sneed of Weatherford
Niece and caregiver- Charlene McLeod and husband Maurice, of Abilene
Numerous nieces and nephews.


  Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 4, 2014, in the East Greenwood Cemetery. 

  Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 3, 2014, at the funeral home.

  Memorials may be sent to the Lemley Cemetery Association or the Shriners Hospital.
