Lucille Adkins

Lucille Adkins, 73, of Granbury, formerly of Weatherford, passed on Thursday morning, March 5, 2020, in Granbury. A graveside committal service will be held at 2;00 p.m., on Monday, March 9, 2020, at Long Creek Cemetery, north of Granbury, Texas.

Lucille was born on January 15, 1943, in Washington, D.C., to Joseph and Evelyn Du Charme. She was a graduate of Weatherford High School. Lucille married Bobby Adkins on July 10, 1999. A devout Catholic, she was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Weatherford. Lucille worked for many years in Home Health Care and prior to that she sold insurance and was a legal secretary. She enjoyed life and loved to travel. She was an avid animal lover. Most of all, Lucille will be remembered for her love of people particularly her family and especially her children and grandchildren.

Lucille is survived by her husband, Bobby; her daughters, Brenda Lynn (Gregory) Salazar, and Shelleye Rene Lietner; her grandchildren, Matthew, Cindy, Laura, Candice, and Stephanie; her step-children, Katrina Scottsdale and Jason Adkins; by her sister, Arlene Zankowich; by her niece, Marguerita Palmisano; and by her nephew, Albert Palmisano.

In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Du Charme; and by her best friend, Virginia Wright.
