Lynda Ann Lanier

Lynda Ann (Deaton) Lanier departed from this life on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at 82 years of age. She was born on October 19, 1940, in Gladewater, Texas to the late Kenneth Deaton and the late Joyce Louise (Thomas) Deaton. Lynda retired from Lockheed Martin, formerly General Dynamics, installing electrical wiring to the F-16, F-18, and F-21 aircrafts. A member of Willow Park Baptist Church, Mrs. Lanier enjoyed being involved in the activities at the Senior Center and loved dancing. She will be most remembered as having a kind and loving heart, and as mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and imparting her deep sense of faith and wisdom into their lives.

Lynda is survived by four children, Richard Weeks, Marissa Hulsey and husband, Mike, Melynda Wesley and husband, Patrick, and Lisa Ann Lanier; six grandchildren, Kristi, Ricky, Morgan, Wendy, Michael, and Kyla Ann; numerous great grandchildren; and a multitude of dear friends.

To honor Lynda's life, the family is holding a visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 30, 2023, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086. The service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the funeral chapel, officiated by Pastor Clark Bosher, with burial to follow at Curtis Cemetery. The pallbearers are Richard Weeks, Patrick Wesley, Ricky Weeks, and Michael Askew.
