Margaret Estrada Montgomery

Margaret Estrada Montgomery, 66, of Weatherford, passed away early on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., July 25, 2021, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 1801 Bethel Road, in Weatherford. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.

Margaret was born May 28, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas, to Juan and Aurora Estrada. She was a 28 year Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps obtaining the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. She was a proud member of the Woman’s Marine Association as well an active member at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Weatherford. She enjoyed her involvement each year in Toys for Tots campaign. Most of all, Margaret cherished time spent with her family - particularly with her grandchildren and with her dog – Tyson.

Margaret is survived by her children, Melissa and husband, Tommy Magill, Ben Montgomery, and Samantha Montgomery and fiancé, Sean Riley; her grandchildren, Michael, James, Thomas, Christopher, and Jonathan Magill, Ben, Brant, Kenneth, and Kylee Montgomery, Charlotte Scott, Harrison Reeder, and Elizabeth Riley; and by her brothers, Jim and wife, Elvia Estrada, Juan and wife, Susan Estrada, and Santos Estrada; and by her sisters, Rosemary Campos, and Ramona and her husband, Alfredo Uriegas.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family will accept donations toward funeral expenses.
