Margaret M Upchurch

Margaret M Upchurch, 93, of Weatherford passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 in a local nursing facility. Funeral service: 10am, Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Johnson Cemetery. Margaret was born March 25, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to Anthony and Irene Clark Weber. She was the past District Commander of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. Margaret spend countless hours over many years volunteering at All-Saints Hospital, eventually founding and assisting in the opening of Margaret Upchurch Guest House. While living at Holland Lake Nursing Center, Margaret enjoyed the weekly visits from the outreach ministries of First Baptist Church and North Side Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, R.O. Upchurch; two great granddaughters, Nicole Rutenschroer and Lilly Pitchford; grandson-in-law David Ross. Survivors include her children, Rita Tandy and husband Bennie, Charles Sharp and Sue Broglie, John Sharp and wife Dorothy; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Sharp; step daughter, Janice Gilbert and husband Royce; grandchildren, David Sharp, John Sharp, Mike Tandy, Becky Edmonson, B.J. Sharp, Jolene McClure, Jennifer Pitchford and Beth Reardon; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren as well as special friends, Clyde and Mary Ruth Ormsbee.
