Margauriete Walker

Margauriete Walker, age 88, passed from this life Sunday, June 3, 2018, surrounded by her family. Margauriete was born February 20, 1930, in Weatherford, Texas to Sidney and Ethel Levan Dugan. She was retired from the WISD Food Service Department after many years of faithful service. Margauriete was also a homemaker, and loved cooking, flower gardening, shopping, and especially spending time with her family and having family gatherings.

She married the love of her life, Stephen R. Walker on November 7, 1947. They spent 47 years of wedded bliss and building their family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Walker as well as her parents, Sid and Ethel Dugan, and son in-law, Tom Claunch. She was the remaining sibling and was looking forward to seeing Fay Berry, R.L. Dugan, Beatrice Bailey, Geneva Stansberry, Sid Dugan, and Dan Dugan.

Margauriete is survived by her daughters, Neva Sue Claunch of Peaster, Stephenie Cox and husband, Charles of Weatherford, Patricia Looper and husband, Waylon of Weatherford; grandchildren, Shirley Anderson, Brian Cox, Duane Claunch, Stephen Cox, Kyle Looper, Ethan Looper; great grandchildren, Amber, Clayton, Carly, Chloe, Chyla, Caleb, Boston, Graham, Cutter, Carson, Creeden, and Taytum; sister in-law, Maxine Dugan; and by many loving nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

She will be remembered for her love of life, sparkling eyes and laughter. Margauriete will be greatly missed by all of us.

Visitation will be held Tuesday June 5, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral Ceremony 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at the Hillcrest Church of Christ.
