Marge Uhlenhake Hitner

November 22, 1928 — May 1, 2016

Marge (Uhlenhake) Hitner passed away May 1, 2016 at age 87.  She was born in Wendelin, Ohio. Marge moved to Texas in 1972 and married her husband, Leon in 1974. They began their life together in Fort Worth and then moved to Weatherford where they were members of St. Stephen Catholic Church. Marge spent her life helping others, whether it was through her nursing career or volunteering. She always had a smile and was first to praise or encourage her family and friends.
       Marge was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Bennie Uhlenhake; sister, Mary Majeski. She leaves her husband, Leon Hitner; sisters, Ruth Decurtins, Flo Huber and husband Marvin, Roma Tilger, Ann O'Neill; brothers, Marvin Uhlenhake and Walter Uhlenhake and wife Jane; and sister-in-law, Sherry Henson and husband Ray.

Visitation: 1-8 p.m., Thursday and 6-8 p.m., Friday, at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford, with the Rosary at 7:30. Mass: 10 a.m., Saturday at St. Stephen Church on Bethel Road. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Manna Store House, P.O. Box 9, Weatherford, TX 76086.
