Margie Ann Dimock Browder

September 12, 1938 — December 30, 2024

Margie Ann Dimock Browder, age 86, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away and started her new chapter in our LORD’s arms on December 30, 2024, at home with her loving family.

Ann was born on September 12, 1938, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was the daughter of Charles Edward Dimock and Mary Alberta Hostetter Dimock, and sister of Gene Edward Dimock.

In 1947-1948, Ann won her age division in an art contest for Tarrant County. It was a portrait of herself sitting in class reading a book.

In 1957, she was picked to represent the Fort Worth A&M Mothers' Club and the Fort Worth Home Town Club as Duchess of the 23rd Annual Cotton Ball in April of that year at Texas A&M College in College Station.

Ann married the love of her life in 1959. They moved to Austin for Marvin to continue his education. He worked and went to college and she typed all his friends' papers, was a homemaker, and later (a year and four months) became a mother.

They moved to Weatherford and started a business, Marvin W. Browder, Jr. Oil Company, in 1963. Ann ran the company most of the time because Marvin was always delivering gas or diesel to their regular customers. She never met a stranger (just like her mother). You could see Ann feeding cows cake out of the pocket of her fur coat, she would say, I have fur like them so I am warm. She was a member of North Side Baptist Church, New Hope Baptist Church, supporter of the PCLIA, the Weatherford Library, Weatherford Housing Authority, Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter, Senior Citizens, and many, many more.

Mrs. Browder was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Browder, Jr.; a daughter, Sherri Linn Browder; her parents, Charles and Alberta Dimock; and her in laws, Marvin and Kathleen (Kitty) Browder.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Debbie) Ann Browder; two granddaughters, Stephanie Nicole Edwards and Mary Kathleen Riddle (Jacob Granstaff); and brother, Gene Dimock (Julie); dogs, (Nurse) Bella, Bam Bam, Chloe B., Winston, and Daisy; and so many loved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Special thanks to: Larry, Sherry, and Joel Watson, Robert Paul Dickey, Diana Bryan, Tom Murphey, James Hall, Todd Saul, Jim Nielsen, Jan Worthington Reid, Lance and Sylvia Steffer, Robin Hood, Drew Maynard, Debbie Langston, Alpha Omega Hospice, Peaster ISD, Greene’s Florist, and Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.

A private graveside service will be held.
