Maria A. "Mom" Nuncio

Maria Alvesa “Mom” Nuncio, 83, of Weatherford, passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 11, 2019, in Fort Worth.
Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday evening, June 16, 2019, from 5 until 8 P.M., at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1 P.M. on Monday, June 17, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at East Greenwood Cemetery.
Maria was born April 4, 1936 in Starr County, Texas to Pablo and Victoria Fernandez. Maria married Marcello Nuncio. She operated Texas Curves Boutique in Weatherford. Maria enjoyed traveling and going to the casino. Most of all, Maria cherished spending time with her family.
Maria is survived by her children, Mary Jane Nuncio, Dominga Victoria Harvey, Martin Nuncio, Manuel Nuncio, Josephine Mendoza, Yolanda Nuncio, Adolfo Nuncio, Pablo Nuncio, Lionor Duenas, and Larry Nuncio; and by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Marcello Nuncio; and by her children, Licha Byrum, Rose Nuncio, Marcello Nuncio, Jr., Jimmy Nuncio, and Oralia Guerra; and by her grandson, John Ryan Nuncio; granddaughter, Hilda Bazan; and by her great-grandson, Hunter Wayne Jackson.
