Marie Whitney Clark

  Marie Whitney Clark, age 80, of Weatherford, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday morning, April 8, 2010. Marie was born September 4, 1929, in Deport, Texas, to Albert and Dessie Whitney. 

  She grew up in the Chapel Hill Community near Parris, Texas, where she met and married Scott Clark. Marie was a resident of Weatherford for almost 60 years; she retired from Sears and Roebuck after 20 yrs and worked along side her husband, Scott, running Scotty’s Exxon. 

  She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Scott Clark; her parents; three brothers; and one sister.
 
  Survivors: daughters, Kay Clark of Fort Worth and Jan Moore of Aledo; five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
  A graveside service will begin at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 9, 2010, in the East Greenwood Cemetery.
