Marilyn Ruth Garrison, 74, of Lipan, passed away Sunday morning, January 20, 2019, in Weatherford.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m, on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, with interment following at Curtis Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m, Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Marilyn was born October 2, 1944, in Austin, Texas to Wayne and Virginia Hudson. She was a member of the LDS. Marilyn devoted her life to children and started Marilyn’s Child Care in 1964. She was a charter president of the Parker County Professional Child Care Association. She was also a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the Texas Professional Home Care Association, and the National Association of Child Care. “Marilyn dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren as well as helping other children grow to their fullest potential in the early years of their lives.” Most of all, Marilyn will be remembered as being a devoted mother and grandmother to her family.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Edward A. Albro and wife Teresa of Lipan and Andrea Albro McMillin and husband Timothy of Mansfield; grandchildren, Kayla Albro Curry and husband Chris, Krystal Maresh Morgan and husband Jake, Scott Albro, Cody Maresh and wife Tracey, Leanna McMillin and Brandon McMillin; great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Benjamin, Joshua, Allie, and Anaka; her sister, Judith Hodges of Santa Fe, Texas; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents.
