Marion Bub Rowney

Marion “Bub” Rowney II passed away Thursday evening, March 6, 2014 in Fort Worth.  Born to Marion and Ellen Rowney on September 12, 1932 in Weatherford Texas; Marion was nicknamed “Bubba” by his Grandpa Rowney and his siblings but it was eventually shortened to Bub.  Bub was dancer; he enjoyed dancing to Country and Western music but was also known to Boogie Woogie too.  Family and faith were very important to Bub; he said prayers daily and enjoyed spending time with his family.  Bub lived his life in the Fort Worth and Weatherford area.  He moved to Poolville in 1966 and raised his family here.
Bub leaves behind, his loving partner and wife of almost 6 years Pauline Tiner; sons Billy Rowney and his wife Beth, M.D. Rowney III and his wife Gina; daughter Marilyn Johnson and her husband Bruce; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sisters Ada Merle Carr, Betty Hulsey and her husband Daniel, Barbara White and her husband Grady; and brothers Gene Timms and his wife Judy and Dale Ray Timms and his wife Becky.

A visitation will be held at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel Monday, March 10, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  A graveside service will be at New Hope Cemetery in Azle TX Tuesday March 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m
