Marion McAlister

Marion McAlister, 68, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021, in a Fort Worth nursing facility. Marion was born December 19, 1952, in Weatherford, Texas, to Robert and Margaret Carter McAlister. She graduated from Weatherford High School, and then attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. She taught school; worked at Color Tile; and later worked at BEPCO, from which she retired. She was a faithful member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Fort Worth and a proud member of The Eastern Star, serving in the Crescent Chapter #820 and Handley Chapter #617.

Marion is survived by her aunt, Virginia Shelby Carter; by her cousins, Marzelle Carter Robertson, John Everett Carter, Sally Carter Conroy, and Walter Edward Carter; her cousin and namesake, Marion Kindle; dear friends, Renee Haley and Lizz Timmons; as well as her Eastern Star Sisters.

A graveside service was held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2021, in Oakland Cemetery, with Reverend Amy Haynie officiating.
