Mark Douglas Jacobs

Mark Jacobs was bom August 23, 1952. to H.A. and Ruby (Towles) Jacobs in Weatherford. He was married to Rebecca Cantrell in August 1989. They have two children: Mark David and Sarah Jacobs. During his life, Mark was a self-employed cabinet maker, worked in all phases of construction and retired from the WISD Maintenance Department. He was the valedictorian of his class at Wampler School and graduated with honors with his GED in October 2001.

He is preceded in death by his parents, H.A. Jacobs and Ruby Jacobs; his sister, Nett Holt; his nephews, Shane Holt and Shannon Holt; niece, Jayden Gonzalez; and brother-in-law, Allen Cantrell.

He is survived by his wife and children; sisters: Barbara Alston of Harligen, Nita Shedd of Euless, Theresa Kasinger of Peachtree City, Georgia, and Patty (Stephen) Roberts of Grapevine; brothers: Charles Jacobs of Weatherford, and Leon (Debbie) Jacobs of Aledo; Glynda (Frank) Morgan; Sharon Stanley; and Melonie Cantrell, all of Weatherford. Mark loved his family and loved Christ. He often talked about how his life changed for the better when his relationship with Jesus changed.

After a hard-fought battle with kidney cancer, Mark died on December 30, 2022.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2023, at Water House Church, 1010 South Bowie Drive, Weatherford, Texas. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Lynn Creek Cemetery for interment.

The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Water House Church, 1010 South Bowie Drive, Weatherford, Texas.
