Martha Ann Sojka Matlock

Martha Ann Sojka Matlock, 56, of Georgetown, passed away January 12, 2017. She was born March 27, 1960, the daughter of Donald and Bonnie Sharp Sojka, in Weatherford. She graduated from Weatherford High School in 1978, later moving to Victoria then Georgetown. Martha loved life and surrounded herself with family. Though life carried her through several careers, including Activities Director at Wesleyan Nursing Home, her most beloved occupation was being a wife, mother & "Grammie" to her beautiful grandchildren. Martha will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Martha is survived by her husband and best friend of 33 years, Robert Matlock; daughter, Beth Taylor and husband Kevin of Georgetown and their children, Calvin, Chloe, and Zane; son, Jeremie Matlock and wife Kathie of Brownwood and their children, Skyler, Katelin, and Bella; mother, Bonnie Jane Clark; sisters, Rose O’Bannon and husband Neal, Sharon Hopf and husband Perry; brothers, Daryl Sojka, and Robert Sojka and wife Susan; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Don Sojka and brother, Daryl James Clark.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 18 at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Texas Suicide Prevention.
