She married Roy Wayne McGehee in 1957, in Seminole, Texas. She was a West Texas farm wife, president of Young Homemakers of America, and worked at the Yocum County Gin.

After the birth of their children, she became a stay at home Mom. In 1977, she became HR Director for the Repair Division of Radio Shack, a position that she held until her retirement in 1999. She was a member of South Main Church of Christ and taught the 2 and 3-year-old class. Roy and Martha moved to Graham, Texas, in 2003.

A wonderful cook, avid reader, and animal lover, she also loved to camp and travel. A guided tour of the Holy Land was the highlight of her travels. She was a loving, and very loved, wife, Mom, and Mema. She touched many lives with her kind heart, and care giving nature.

God shall wipe all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away. Rev. 21:4
