Marty Lynn Beggs

Marty Lynn Beggs, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, 64, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021, in Plano, Texas.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday evening, March 16, 2021, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 17, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens.

Marty was born on February 28, 1957, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, to Walter and Ada Beggs. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1975 to 1977. On October 16, 1996, he married Sally Maldonado in Las Vegas, Nevada. Marty began working in the oil and gas industry in 1992 and continued working for over 29 years, most recently as a Senior Site Manager for Ulterra Drilling Technologies. He will be remembered as a kind and witty man who “was the first person to make everyone laugh.” He will affectionately be remembered for being a devoted, loving Father and Grandpa.

Marty is survived by his wife, Sally; and his children, Ricky Galan, Bernadette Galan, Roman and wife, Ruby Galan, and Alicia and husband, Daniel Ruiz; his beloved grandchildren, Derek, Mark, Luke, Ariana, Helena, Jalen, Jordan, Roman, Jr., Ruben, and Ricardo; and by his brothers, Bo Beggs, Gary Beggs, Richard Beggs, and Brad Beggs; his sisters, Patti Guffee, Margie Liittschwager, and Mona Wylie. Marty was a devoted dog father to the dogs he never wanted, Bugsy and Bleu.

In addition to his parents, Marty was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Beggs.
