Marvin P. Rister

Mr. Rister was born September 30, 1925 in Merkel, Texas. He was a World War II veteran. He served in the Army from 1944-1946. He was a retired wholesale floor covering salesman. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Horseshoe Bend. He loved the Lord and he loved to go to church. He loved his family and he had many friends that loved him. Marvin was preceded in death by his father, Rickie Rister; mother, Bessie Rister; brother, Joe Rister and son, Dwayne Rister. He leaves behind his wife Julie Rister; two sons, Lonnie Rister and wife Mickey of Cresson and Jerry Rister and wife Clarajo of Cresson; two daughters, Paulette Robinson of Arlington and Brenda Rister of Granbury; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; sister, Martha Wright and husband Ernest of Weatherford; two brothers, Rickie Rister and wife Bess of Abilene and Johnny Rister and wife Phyliss of Weatherford; daughter-in-law, Mary Rister of Clyde, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
