Marvin William Edgmon, Jr.

Marvin William Edgmon, Jr., age 77, of Weatherford, died Friday evening, May 6, 2011 in a local nursing facility.  Born September 28, 1934 in Wichita Falls, Texas, A resident of Weatherford for several years.  He was a retired Seismograph Manager, member of the First Baptist Church and USTRC.  Mr. Edgmon was a Veteran of the Korean War and a recipient of the Purple Heart. Survivors: daughter, Leslie Frances Douk and husand, Pat; sons, Marvin William Edgmon III, and wife Glenda and James Russell Edgmon and wife, Tracy; sister, Nancy Spencer; brother, Robert Edgmon and wife, Kathie; 6 grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, May 10 in the Zion Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 6:30 to 9 PM on Monday, May 9, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to the Lottie Moon Missionary Fund, in care of  First Baptist Church.
