Mary Elizabeth Baker, 84, of Weatherford, died Sunday, November 11, 2007, at her residence. Born January 21, 1923, in Russellville, Alabama, she was a resident of Weatherford for the last 45 years. Elizabeth was a homemaker and a member of South Main Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, P.O. and Minnie Letson, and three sisters, Dellielou Knighten, Marie Hampton, and Francis Rhoten.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, W.C. “Bill” Baker of Weatherford; sister, Ann Bevil of Lake Worth; sisters-in-law, Betty, Louise, and Doris; cousin, Mary Lou Teich and husband, Kenneth of Cresson; nephew, Gary Bevil of Weatherford; and nieces, Cheryl Whitely and Janice Graves.
Graveside service: 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at Springtown Cemetery with Minister Murphy Phillips officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
