Mary Evelyn “Buster” Miller, 92, of Weatherford, Texas, passed from this life to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at her home. A Committal Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Monday, August 31, at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Midland, Texas.
Buster was born August 19, 1923 in Paragould, Arkansas. She was one of two children born to Charles and Julia Jackson. On December 22, 1947, Buster married Roy Milton Miller and together had three children, Kathy, Mary Ann and Bob. She was a member and a volunteer of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Midland, Texas. Buster was also a volunteer for hospice. She had many close friends whom she loved spending time with in addition to her family. Buster managed Curry’s Hallmark and later worked at Texas State Bank in Midland.
Buster is survived by her children, Bob Miller, Kathy (Jearl) Tipton, and Mary Ann (Michael) Rooney; seven grandchildren; and by 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; and by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Buster was preceded in death by her husband Roy Milton Miller in 1996; and by her brother, Bob Jackson.
Memorial donations may be made to either Visiting Angels, 806 Paluxy Road, in Granbury, TX 76048, Wounded Warriors, or to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Midland.
Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel in Weatherford, Texas has been entrusted with the arrangements.
