Mary Jo Lipham, 64, of Bowie, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 28, 2018, at her home.
Visitation will be held from 10 A.M. until Noon on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street in Weatherford. Funeral services celebrating Mary Jo’s life will be held at 2 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Brock Cemetery.
Mary Jo was born September 25, 1954, in Herford, Texas to Melvin Leonard and Mary Lou Truelock. She was raised by her step-father, Russell Lee Swaffar. She married Wayne Lipham on August 11, 1981. Mary Jo enjoyed outdoor activities including camping, fishing, and gardening. She particularly enjoyed preparing Thanksgiving dinner for her family. Most of all, Mary Jo will be remembered as being a devoted wife, mother, “granny”, and “great-granny.”
Mary Jo is survived by her loving husband, Wayne; her children, Michelle Lee Cardenas, Chaille Lynn DeVoe, and Seeley Irene Newberry; stepchildren, Michael Wayne Lipham, Amy Rhoads, and Casey Lipham; grandchildren, JoAnna Holley, Megan Rivera, Danielle Payton, Cruz Cardenas, Kayla Cardenas, Kory Hoffman, Ashlee McGeisey, Tanner Hoffman, Canton Lipham, Kena Lipham, Tyler Kitchen, Bryce DeVoe, and Blake Odell; great-grandchildren, Alic, Ethan, Landon, Rhyland, Bentley, Reece and Mayzleigh Holley, Trinitey, Canyon, and Owen Rivera, Rhylee and Macee Payton, Cohen Cardenas, Tobias McGeisey, and Kole Hoffman; brothers, Rickey Truelock and Larry Truelock; sister, Betty Lou Hollis; half-sisters, Robbie and Lorelai Truelock; and by her half-brothers, Richard, Dale, and Melvin Leonard Truelock.
Mary Jo was preceded in death by her parents.
