Mary Katherine Mitchell

Mary Katherine Mitchell, 87, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away on Tuesday evening, May 7, 2019, at her home. A Graveside Committal service celebrating her life will be held at 10:30 A.M., on Friday, May 10, at Tin Top Cemetery south of Weatherford.
Mary was born on July 30, 1931, in Wawpecong, Indiana to Floyd and Orpha Warner. She grew up in Greentown, Indiana and graduated from Eastern High School. Mary worked for the Delco Radio as an electrical inspector for 19 years. Mary married Jim Harry Mitchell in 1970. Later the couple moved to Winter Haven, Florida. She later attended nursing school where she graduated sixth in her class as an LPN. She worked at Lakeland Medical Center for years to come and enjoyed taking care of her many patients. Mary retired at age 68. She moved to Summersville, Missouri with her husband Jim and with her youngest daughter, Jennifer. Mary had 5 children from a previous marriage, Judy Ann Marner from Kokomo, Indiana, Sandra JoAnn Bryan of Auburndale, Florida, Michael Allen McNally from North Carolina in addition to two deceased children, George Douglas McNally and Linda Sue Ellsroth. Mary was saved and Baptized at the First Christian Church in Lake Wales, Florida along with her husband Jim in 1975. Mary enjoyed the sunshine working outside in her yard and watching birds from her back porch. She enjoyed feeding her donkey, Priscilla, apples and spending time with her beloved dogs, Fritz and Duke. Mary was always available to ‘help out’ her husband Jim with anything he needed. Most of all, Mary cherished time spent with her family.
