Mary Sue Stewart Stephens, 88, passed from this life on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Grapevine. Sue was born December 5, 1934, Weinert, Texas, to Neal Stewart and Sarah Delilah (Hall) Stewart.

She retired from Tarrant County College in 1996, from Student Activities where she gained the best of friends of a lifetime. Sue was a member of Dennis Baptist Church and was in the choir, and was involved in the Parker County Ladies Club. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Karen Mountcastle (George) of Bedford, Texas; daughter, LuAnn Krey (Mark) of Springtown, Texas; grandchildren, Brady (Jennifer), Sarah (Kristin), Leighann (Shane), Lauren (Mike), Scot (Karol) and Cara; 13 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren as well as numerous loving family and friends.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Sarah Stewart; her brothers, Junior, Jack, and Roy; her loving sister, Bertie Lou; her beloved husband, Virgil; and her son, Jimmy.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Dennis, 7600 FM1189, Dennis, TX. 76439. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Annetta Cemetery, in Annetta, Texas, for burial.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Dennis, PO Box 160, Dennis. Texas 76439.
