Maurice Merrill Hall

Maurice Merrill Hall, 85, Weatherford, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Medical City Weatherford, Weatherford, Texas.

He was born on January 30, 1939, in King City, Missouri, the son of Millard and Blondina Hall, along with sister, Carol. 

Merrill married his high school sweetheart, Sandra Campbell in 1959. Merrill and Sandra had three sons, who were the joy of their lives, Doug, Todd, and Brad Hall, whom they raised in King City and enjoyed many sporting events.

When Merrill and Sandra first married, they were both employed by Pettijohn Motor Company. Merrill and Sandra moved to Texas in 1987, where they would spend the next 37 years of their lives together. Merrill enjoyed riding four wheelers, hunting and watching Old John Wayne movies. Merrill loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and any ball games of his grandchildren. Merrill also enjoyed building things such as bird houses, wooden chests and shelves to display his tractor collection on. He retired from Mac Churchill Dealership of Fort Worth, Texas in 1998.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Bill McMillan. His beloved dog Buddy will miss him dearly.

Merrill is survived by his wife, Sandra Hall; his children, Doug Hall (Lea Ann), Todd Hall (Shelley), and Brad Hall (Cheryl); grandchildren, Tyler Hall, Cortney Copp, Micheline Williams, Carrington Gleaves, Brandon Hall, Alexandra Hall, Samantha Hall, and Madison Hall; and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Roberson Funeral Home, King City, Missouri. Burial will follow in the King City Cemetery, King City, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.
