Maurine Johnston

Maurine Johnston, age 97, of Fort Worth, died on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at Odyssey Hospice House in Fort Worth. Born December 4, 1910 in Terrell, Texas, a resident of Weatherford before moving to Fort Worth. She was a homemaker, Secretary and member of the Methodist Church. Mrs. Johnston was preceded in death by her husband, Claude “Peck” Johnston, her parents, Luther and Lillie Browning, Daughter Lilyann "Betsy" Beavers, a grandson Cumby Luther"CL" Beavers and a sister Hilda B. Wilkinson. Survivors: Granddaughter – Claudia Coy and husband, Ernest of Weatherford, Grandson – Charles T. Beavers of Fort Worth, Seven Great Grandchildren – Michelle Allison, Billy Beavers, Tim Beavers, Tyra Galindo, Amy Walker, Rachel Swift, Boyd Beavers. 10 Great Great Grandchildren, and a Niece – Cheryl Montgomery.Funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, December 19, 2007 in the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment in Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM, Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at the funeral home.
