Maxine Phillips Combs

Foy Maxine Combs, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 16, 2019, in Weatherford, Texas.
A service will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Poolville Cemetery Tabernacle beginning at 10 am.
Maxine was born on September 8, 1925 to the late Albert Galiton and Arminta Simpson Phillips in Poolville, Texas. She married the love of her life, Travis, on October 10, 1942. Together they had four children, Jack, Kathleen, Karen, and Philip. Maxine believed in eating dessert first, enjoyed doing embroidery, and every year her fingertips would turn black from picking and shelling pecans. She and her husband loved attending senior club at their church and going to their walking club every morning. Above all, Maxine loved spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, granddaughter Tiffini Combs, and great-grandson Jason Fredrickson.
Survivors include her husband of 76 (would have been 77 on October 10) years, William Travis Combs; children, Jack Combs (Celia), Kathleen Weems (Thomas), Karen Peterson (Scott), and Philip Combs; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
