Melton Ray Clepper

  Melton Ray Clepper, age 84, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024. Melton was born on April 22, 1940, in Brad, Texas, to Elias "Buster" Clepper and Jennie Hight Clepper. He found great joy in fishing and cherished moments spent fishing with his grandchildren. His love for sharing stories about his past fishing adventures will forever be remembered by those who listened.

  Melton was a devoted husband for 63 years and the proud owner of his own trucking company. His commitment to his family and work was unwavering throughout his life.

  He is survived by his loving wife, Kay Clepper; son, Jack Clepper; daughter, Donna Holbrooks; grandchildren, Cody Holbrooks, Brandon Holbrooks, Tiffany Clepper and husband, Phillip, Casey Clepper and wife, Kayleigh, Kenzie Clepper, and Dagen Clepper; as well as great-grandson, Cameron Johnson.

  Melton was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenneth Clepper; and siblings, Jerry Clepper, Frances Dahl, and Doris Norman.

  A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, June 14, 2024, at the Goshen Cemetery, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember a man whose kindness and devotion touched so many lives during his time on earth. May he rest in peace.
