Melvin Allan Williams

Melvin Allan Williams, age 73, passed from this life on Monday, May 29, 2023. He was born August 16, 1949, in Mineral Wells, Texas to Marion Alonzo Williams and Dorothy (Harrison) Williams. Melvin was an outdoorsman who greatly enjoyed fishing, perfecting his skill as a pitmaster by smoking different cuts of meat, and collecting baseball cards. He was self-employed and worked in lawn maintenance and screen printing. Melvin married Judy Giddiens in 1986 and together they lived a happy life for over 37 years. Most importantly, he will be remembered as a driven leader and as a steady and loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be dearly missed by all.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Dorothy Williams.

Melvin is survived by his beloved wife, Judy Williams of Bridgeport, Texas; five children, Tommy Williams of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Tim Williams of Austin, Texas, Kristy Adams of Roundup, Montana, Tammy Patton of Decatur, Texas, and Misty Lang of Bridgeport, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Sherry West and her husband, Roger; and sisters-in-law, Virginia, Patsy, and Jean.

A private service will be held at a later date.
