Melvin Blum

Melvin Blum, 87, went home to be with his Lord, other family members, and his precious wife, Rose Mary, on Saturday, August 15, 2009.
 
He was born July 13, 1922 in St. Louis, Missouri to Frank and Edith Blum.  He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, his wife, one daughter, Rose Ann, and two sons, William Frank and Billy Melvin.
 
Melvin served in World War 2 in the US Army Air Force.  He enjoyed going to the Senior Center and playing pool and visiting with friends.
 
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.  A private burial will take place in the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.
 
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law: Dennis and Linda of Snyder, Texas; daughters and son-in-law: Dona of Yarmouth, Maine and Janet and Lucky Drew of Weatherford, Texas; sister: Arlene Murray and husband Lawrence of Desloge, Missouri.  He is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
