Michael Stephen Fonville

The world became a brighter place on July 16, 1956, the day Michael Stephen Fonville was born. After a long and happy life Michael sadly passed away on November 22, 2022, at 4:38 p.m., surrounded by family and friends, he was 66 years old; he will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Pauline Fonville; his brother, William Lee Fonville; his sisters, Marylan Chaplin, Linda Nelson, and Martha Fonville; his wife, Trela Fonville; and Mackenzie Fonville.

He is survived by his daughters, Brandi Fory, Amber Hickman, and Misty Fonville; his grandchildren, Kelsie Lankford, Russell Fory, Michael Fory, Zaine Hickman, Nevaeh Hickman, Dameon Whitt, Kandyce Whitt, and Leslie Whitt; his great grandkids; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

My dad was always smiling or cracking a joke. He loved being with his family, they were his pride and joy. He taught us to stand tall, be proud, and just to be ourselves in all situations. He supported all of us throughout the many accomplishments and difficulties we have had throughout our lives. Michael was so kind hearted and generous; he would give you the shirt off his back. When Michael wasn’t found at work you could find him with at least one of the many grandkids he cherished and loved. I cherish all of the memories I have with my father and I know he is smiling down on all of us today. I don’t know how long it will take us to grieve this tremendous loss, but I do know he will be watching over us every step of the way. His cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed.
