On Sunday, May 30, 2021, Michael William Authier - our beloved Mike - passed away at age 33, at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, in Houston, Texas. Mike was born July 25, 1987, in Webster, Texas, to parents, Russ and Linda Authier. He moved to Weatherford in 1994 and in 2013 began A Pool Company with his mother, Linda.
Mike married Lauren Smith, the love of his life, in 2013 and was a father to two incredible daughters, Brinlee and Kirby. He was a dedicated father and husband who loved making memories with his family and friends.
Mike was fun-loving and hard-working. He was caring, loyal, and generous. There was an unmistakable sparkle in his eye and his smile was contagious; he was a person everyone wanted to be around. Mike enjoyed the outdoors, specifically hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed video gaming.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Marianne Pischner and Maryalice Authier, and his grandfather, Arthur Authier.
Michael is survived by his wife, Lauren Ashley Authier, and their daughters, Brinlee Conger and Kirby Authier; parents, Russ and Linda Authier; sister, Mandy (Stephen); nephew, Simon; grandfather, Robert Pischner, and “Auntie” Ann Pischner, all of Weatherford; his in-laws, Craig and Lisa Smith; grandparents, Barbara Smith, and Betty and David Stiles; sisters in-law, Monica Smith and Paige Smith; as well as his nieces, Izzy and Zoey; and nephew, Oliver, all of Anahuac, Texas.
Honorary Pallbearers: Austin Nichols, Brandon Seidler, Braxston Mayes, Craig Smith, Colby Addington, Cody Priest, Cole Priest, Cordell Hull, Grant Adams, John Cobb, Josh Barr, Justin Hernandez, Payden Morgan, Robert Pischner, Sidney Wirsing, Stephen Ford, Tristan Lewis, and Zach Hobbs.
Visitation will be Monday, June 7th, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas. Mike’s Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 8th, 2021, at North Side Baptist Church, 910 North Main Street, Weatherford, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you make donations to The Children’s Advocacy Center of Parker County and/or Sarascure.org. The goal of Sara’s Cure is “to make Clear Cell Sarcoma survivable through education and scientific research.” Mail in donations for Sara’s cure can be sent to, PO Box 13418, Charleston, SC 29422.
