Mickey Sue Bull

  Mickey Sue Bull, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, entered into eternity with Christ on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at the age of 78. She was born on November 19, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, to Roy Jones and Dollie (Grimes) Jones. Throughout her lifetime, Mickey's kind-hearted and loving spirit touched the lives of many.

  Mickey worked as a Bookkeeping Supervisor at First State Bank in Mineral Wells until she retired. She profoundly impacted the community with her unwavering commitment to her family and her benevolence toward local homeless shelters. Her work and contributions were a testament to her selflessness and community spirit, making her a cherished member of Friendship Baptist Church.

  Mickey's vibrant personality reflected her diverse interests and hobbies. She found joy in simple pleasures such as caring for animals, exploring new places through travel, and expressing her creativity through arts and crafts. Her passion for Western art and turquoise jewelry was a unique aspect of her personality, and she shared her creations with others, leaving a lasting impression of her zest for life and creative spirit.

  Mickey's greatest joy was her role as a loving wife and matriarch of her family. Her love for her family was a beacon of warmth and affection, radiating and touching the hearts of those around her. Mickey's legacy lives on through the love and compassion she showered upon her family, a testament to her enduring love and care.

  In addition to her parents, Mickey was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth W. Bull; sister, Opal Hill; and brother, Raymond Jones.

  She is survived by her husband, Jimmie Ray Bull, Sr.; children, Lisa Smith (Jack), Charyn Guess, Jeffery Dean Bull (Rebecca), Jimmy Ray Bull, Jr. (Kathryn), Jon Bull (Danielle) and daughter-in-law, Misty Bull; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as her sister, Diane Jones.

  A visitation in honor of Mickey will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, in Weatherford, Texas. 

  The funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Friendship Baptist Church, 801 Friendship Rd, in Weatherford, Texas.

  The graveside service will be held at a later date, 9:00 a.m., on Friday, May 24, 2024, at DFW National Cemetery, in Dallas, Texas.
