Milo William “Pete” Bowman, 86, of Weatherford, passed away Tuesday morning, July 17, 2018 in Weatherford.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, July 20, in the chapel of North Side Baptist Church, 910 N. Main Street in Weatherford. Burial will follow at Spring Creek Cemetery, south of Weatherford. Visitation will be held from 6pm until 8pm, Thursday, July 19, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Home, 913 N. Main Street in Weatherford.
Pete was born March 3, 1932 in Niles, Ohio. He married Virginia Ann Liston and together they raised two children, Dean and Wendy. Pete served his country in the USAF. He was always a hard worker and was known for being “cheerful and optimistic.” He retired from General Motors as a Paint and Body Worker after 30 years. In addition, Pete enjoyed farming and ranching and was an auctioneer in his early years. Pete later married Betty Pryor in 2008. Most of all, Pete will be remembered as a family man who cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren.
Pete is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Dean Bowman, Wendy and husband Lynn Duvall; step-children, Teri Riley and Bret Dinkins; and by his granddaughters, Lindsey Calzacorta and Bailey Duvall.
In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded by his first wife of 46 years, Ann; and by his sister, Kate Postelwhait.
