Milton Lamar Brown, age 84, of Weatherford, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015.

Milton was born March 21, 1931 in Thornton, Texas to Walter and Maggie Brown. In 1954, he married his wife Nell and they moved to Weatherford in 1958. He retired as a Texas State Trooper after 36 1/2 years of loyal service. He and Nell also owned and operated Brown’s Texaco and Brown’s Power Wash for many years.  Milton loved to watch all sports and was a dedicated Weatherford Kangaroo fan. He was a member of North Main Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Brown, his parents, and seven brothers and sisters.
Survivors: Daughters: Carolyn Mathison and her husband Tony of Wichita Falls; Peggy Brown of Weatherford; grandchildren, Jason Clark, Courtney Clark, Cayla Mathison; special friend Lois Norman; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

Milton' s  funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 16, 2015 at North Main Church of Christ. Interment will be in the East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel from 6-8 pm on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the benevolence fund at North Main Church of Christ,  1302 N. Main St. Weatherford, Texas  76086, or a charity of your choice.
