Milton Monroe Marburger

Milton Monroe Marburger, age 76, departed from this life on Monday, June 26, 2023. He was born January 13, 1947, in Bridgeport, Texas to Monroe Elwin Marburger and Janet Helen (Hufhines) Marburger. Milton grew up on a ranch in Chico, Texas, and was always on a horse. He was a talented bulldogger and enjoyed the rodeo life. Prior to his retirement in Lipan, Texas, Milton built a successful career as an electrical salesman for the West Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado Territory.

In addition to his professional achievements, Milton enjoyed playing handball. He also was an avid golfer, playing every day if possible. One of his greatest joys in life was being able to spend time with his three sons. Milton remained active with his high school classmates over the years. Those who knew him best agree that he possessed a tremendous charismatic spirit. Milton took pleasure in sharing his joy for life with his family and friends.

Milton was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Janet Marburger; son, David Marburger; and half-brother, Elwin Smith.

Milton is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Janie M. Anderson of Lipan, Texas; son, Monroe Marburger and wife, Cathy of Mansfield, Texas; son, Michael Marburger and wife, Kallie of Chico, Texas; sister, Monette Marburger of Chico, Texas; four granddaughters, Marie, Kiley, Macey, and Chloe Marburger; two great grandchildren, Rowan and Emersyn Modawell; niece, Lisa Davis; and nephew, Scott Huckabee.
