Monte Joe Bradley, 79, of Salisbury, passed away on Monday, July 2nd, 2012 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Midland, TX on May 16, 1933, he was the son of the late Naomi Canafax Coe and step son of the late Walter Coe.
He was a US Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and a graduate of Cornell University’s Hotel & Restaurant Management. After graduation, he had several management positions in Food Service and Housing at Indiana State University and University of California at Santa Barbara. He later owned his own restaurant business. . In 1978 he joined Salisbury State College as Administrator and Director of Food Services until his retirement in 1998. During his retirement he enjoyed his favorite sport of golfing. He was a member of the Alumni of both Cornell and Salisbury University. He was a member of VFW Meuse Post 194 and the Elks Lodge of Salisbury.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Nagla H. Bradley; 2 sons, Craig Bradley and his wife, Carol of , Winnetka, IL and Wade Bradley and his wife, Janice of Alpharetta, GA; a step daughter, Hala Mclver and her husband, Mark of Salisbury; a step son, Adham Ramses and his wife, Sandy of Salisbury; 10 grandchildren, Craig Bradley, Jr., Kyle Bradley, Claire Bradley, Grant Bradley, Elaine Bradley, Jarod Ramses, Cyril McIver and his wife, Ashley, Adham McIver and his wife, Stephanie, Mae McIver and Matthew McIver; a great grandson, Nicholas McIver; a brother, Terry Bradley and his wife, Dawn of Ovalo, TX; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 6th, 2012 at 7:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation two hours prior to the service. Rev. Tom Hurley will officiate. Interment will be on Tuesday, July 10th, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Newberry Cemetery in Parker County, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058 and or the Wicomico County Humane Society, 5130 Citation Drive, Salisbury, MD 21804.
The family extends their sincerest thanks and appreciation to all the doctors, nurses and staff at the Salisbury Dialysis Center, Peninsula Cardiology Associates and Peninsula Regional Medical Center for their exceptional care to Monte during his illness.
