Nancy Jane Tate

Nancy Jane Valentine-Tate, 69 years, died July 31, 2009 in a local nursing home. She was born September, 6, 1939 in Dallas, TX. She married James Edwin Tate of Clanton, Alabama in 1959 and they spent the majority of their lives traveling while in the Navy.  They traveled all over the world, but were last stationed in Texas in 1970.  Eventually the family settled in Grand Prairie, Texas in 1980. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents: Curtis and Viola Valentine; husband: James Tate; and brother: Thurmon Valentine. Memorial Services will be held on September 6, 2009 at Long Creek Cemetery with Rev. Cary Reynolds officiating.
Survivors include her daughters: Joi Tate of Arlington and Janet Tate of Weatherford; son and daughter-in-law:  James “Buzzy” and Cindy Tate of Weatherford; grandsons: Ryan Ricketts and wife Haley Alexander of San Marcos and Ty Holman of Weatherford; granddaughters: Chelsey Holman-Franklin and husband Lance of Okinawa, Japan, and Maddie Holman.
