Nell (McKee) Binion

Nell McKee Binion, 100, of Weatherford, gained her wings Sunday, August 6, 2023. Born May 20, 1923, to Claire and Lillah McKee in Frankston, TX. In 1940 she graduated Frankston High School, enrolled in business school, moved to Fort Worth and went to work at Convair Aircraft later known as General Dynamics and now Lockheed, retiring after 35 yrs.

She was married to J. P. “Pop” Binion for 68 years. Together they raised 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

She was a member of South Main Church of Christ.

Preceded in Death: Her parents Claire and Lillah McKee, Husband J. P. Binion, Daughter Diane Kemp, Son in Law Tommy Osborn, sisters Claire Compton, Lella Tipton, and brothers Bill and Jim McKee.

Survivors: Mark and Myrna Binion, Barbara Osborn, Rusty Kemp of Weatherford Janis and Bobby Dove of Seminole.

Grandchildren: Kaleb and Staci Kemp, Zane and Kelly Kemp, Lisa Osborn, Aaron Osborn, Virgil Barber, Sadie and Larry Wheeler, Trey and Katie Dove, Keely and Brent Gilbert, Bailey and Colton Wyatt.

Great Grandchildren: Emily, Hannah, Kara, Kannon, Kinley, Kyler, Kemp, Brenley and Keegan Gilbert, Layne and Halle Wyatt, Tripp Ratliff and Tucker Dove.

Nieces and Nephews: Kaye Rankin/family, P.M. Binion, Shane Binion/family, Randy Tipton/family, Mickey Strother/family

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to South Main Church of Christ.

A graveside service will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 14, 2023, at the Spring Creek Cemetery, in Weatherford, TX.

Visitation is scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, TX 76086.
