Norma Elizabeth Harris

Norma Elizabeth Harris, 90, of Weatherford, and formerly of Granbury, passed away Tuesday morning, May 31, 2016, at her home.

Norma was born September 14, 1925, in Granbury, Texas, to Louis Dean and Rebecca Shoemaker. She married Paul J. Harris on July 28, 1944, and together had three children.   Norma taught in the WISD and retired in 1986 after 20 years of service. Additionally, she was a long-time member and elder of Grace First Presbyterian Church in Weatherford. Most of all, Norma cherished time spent with her family.
 
Norma is survived by her daughters, Danelle Harris of Dallas and Betty Mills of Weatherford; grandchildren, Amanda (James) Johnston and their children, Katie and Ian, Joshua (Chris) Harris and their daughter Evyn, Elizabeth (Paul) Anderson and their children, Eleanor and Hank, and Emily (Elias) Gonzales and their children, Jackson, Kennedy, Townes and Everly, and Zachary Helbing.

In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Paul in 2000, and by her son, Tony Harris in 2003.
 
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, June 3, 2016, at Grace First Presbyterian Church, 606 Mockingbird Lane, in Weatherford.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either Manna Storehouse, 129 E. Spring Street, in Weatherford or Grace First Presbyterian Church Music Ministry, in Weatherford.
